TWIN OAKS CABIN IN THE CATSKILLS

item3

Twin Oaks Cabin in the Catskills

Rent the Twin Oaks Cabin for $75 a night

Two giant oaks spread their limbs-creating majestic silhouettes against the backdrop of the Catskill Mountains. This is the inspiration that led to a tiny cabin in the woods. The 10x14 insulated cabin is heated by a small ancient woodburning stove and is more comfortable than Thoreau’s cabin in inclement weather. The sleeping loft is graced with two leaded windows that bring in lights of the rainbow. There are no beds in the cabins so please bring your own sleeping bags.

The interior is finished with some whimsical/artistic touches. The reed cloth ceiling, the rug and the colors of the cabin all lend an Asian feel to this space, sometimes inhabited by yogis from near and far. Outside of the cabin, there’s a campfire pit and a barbeque. The two cabins are 1000 feet from each other.

TWIN OAKS TESTIMONIALS

Dec 5/6 2010 Daria

This was the perfect healing weekend I needed. The warm stillness of this cabin was the antidote I needed after a hectic work week in NYC. I will be back.

The little wicker tray/table is perfect for writing/reading/eating while curled up on the floor in front of the fire. You are an amazing, inspiring woman. Please let us know when you start the next new cabin. We want to help.

Dec 16-18 2009 Sarah, Colin and Tucker from Brooklyn

We’ve just spent two lovely nights in this treasure of a cabin so nicely secluded in the woods. Everything was so beautiful and still covered in the snow, and we will definitely be back to see it uncovered and blossoming next season.

October 2010 Deanna, Florida

I’ve had the most wonderful autumn retreat! The words that come to mind are gratitude and joy! Gratitude to the Divine, whose blessings brought me to your sacred garden and gratitude to you both, for welcoming me with your warmth and ease.

Joy, joy, joy …ever new joy!!! To you and yours, and all those who come. Blessings and love!

April 2-4, 2010 Young lovers Brooklyn

Thank you …we’ve had an amazing escape from the city. The weather could not have been better. There’s something magical about your space here. It is filled with so much love. We will return again, both alone and with friends. Each time will bring with it photographs and memories to cherish for years to come.
